Default Vertical alignment for a formula

Hi, all. Is it any possibility to perform vertical alignment for a formula field? I've tried changing the interpretation to html text, and putting something like that:
'<span style = "vertical-align:bottom"> my text</span>'
but it doesn't work. Any ideas?
