Default How to manipulate diagramms?

I use Crystal Reports in an ASP.NET Application and design my Reports with Crystal Reports 10.

In one report I have to manipulate the axes. The data-source is a database.
Can I take the values from the datebase, manipulate them e.g. thru additon and build the diagramm with that manipulated values? And can I set the intervals of the axes manually? Are there an example for that? I find no way to do that with the Formula Workshop.
