Place an image on the scrollbar face

For SOE using IE 5.5 - I have tryed all sorts of things to get a BG image repeating.

Sorry I'm late in responding, AFAIK there is no method proprietary or otherwise that allows a background image on a scroll bar using CSS.

Having said that, if you *really* wanted to go to all the trouble such a control could be devised using javascript, but you'd have to design and implement the scroll bar yourself and in essence reinvent the wheel.

Such a thing would be fairly complex to be trully usable, so I'm not going to explore the details.
