Default Help with css and html

im building a simple webpage, with html and css, but im having a hard time with a layout that i did in photoshop 800x600 i have a 17in screen and i align all the links and the text over the layout but when i test the page on a 19in screen everything goes out of place. Can anyone help me out. Thank you

by the way...try to use container tag <container> and division tag <div> to your html and css to avoid destruciton to your page...

Inventing elements like CONTAINER may be part of your problem. Stick to existing ones. ;)

Cubano, you go about it the wrong way. This isn't a limited medium where everything can be measured. Use your mockup as a sketch for how you want the page to look in general, but don't try to make it be the page. Limit the width if you must, but don't try to limit the height. Ever. I'm sure the layout will break on your own screen too if you up the text size in your browser.

You don't know what resolution I have, what size my browser window has, what text size I prefer... The more you try to lock things in, the more of a hindrance those circumstances will become.

container tag is not just invention..it can help to make your page fixed and maintain whatever sizes of screen do you have....
