Dreamweaver MX 2004
Hi,
I'm a web and Dreamweaver newcomer so be gentle with me.
Beginning Dream W. 20004 page 111. para 10 states that I can adjust the size of the table by pulling the handles (see fig 3-51) however, when I do this it splits the page open and separates the structure. I,ve got over this by not altering the size of the table. But what am I missing ??
The same prob occurs with inserting graphics (page 117) so at the moment I have omitted them.but again what am I missing???
I have installed the maps (page 174) but added an extra layer, with nothing in it, by mistake. How can I delete together with the behavior if the behavior is not shown?? I find, in general difficult to delete and as a result am saving with each new item so I have a backup. is there an easier method???
Regards
Terry s

"Beginning Dream W. 20004" Wow, has it been released already??? ;)
Anyway, I am not sure what your problems are. What do you mean with "it splits the page open and separates the structure"? It sounds painful, but I am unsure where it takes place. In Dreamweaver or in the browser? How does your code that ends up in the browser look like?
Deleting (Server) Behaviors in DW can be difficult sometimes. If you change a bit of the behavior manually, Dreamweaver is no longer able to find all the pieces, so it may leave stuff behind. The best way to fix this is to go into Code View and manually delete any left overs.
Cheers,
Imar

Hi,Imar,
Thanks for your prompt reply, I'm please you noticed my deliberate mistake (20004).
What I was trying to explain (I realise now not too well) is that when I increase the size of the table, "Nov. Cooking News" as suggested in the book, page 111, all the site separates from the top table leaving a gap. This shows up in the design mode and the browser.
I hope this clarifies my problem.

Hi Terry,
Unfortunately, I don't have the book right here, so I can't see what is being done, and how it's supposed to end up.
Can you post the offending code?
Imar
