Default right side of page cuts off!need it to scroll?

Hi,

I'm finshed the pages of my website and I've been using layers and then inserting the images into those. The only problem is that when I view it in my browser and I have my 'favourites' column down the left hand side of the screen, everything on the right side is chopped off.

I viewed some other sites and they seem to 'roll' to the left side when the screen is made smaller with my 'favourites' column.

Does anyone know how I would do this?

My url is: http://www.dolldeluxe.com/contact.htm

Many thanks.

Honestly, I have never seen this kind of problem before but, what you could do is maybe try to either make everything a little smaller to see if that helps any. This is where you can maybe use CSS to position the images on your contact page so they have no chance of getting cut off when your Favorites column displays. I viewed your site and it does scroll horizontally when someone opens the Favorites page.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. So the right side isn't chopped off when you view it with a favourites column? Also what are CSS style and how do I use them?

When I view your page with a sidebar in Firefox or IE it causes it to scroll horizontally because the images are not small enough to fit in the space left. This would be fixed if you used text and small images instead of only large images.

However, I don't think many people surf with their bookmarks bar open, so I wouldn't be worried about it.

Hi guys, phew I've got it! I have now put everything into tables and this seems to have done the job. Could you please just take a look though just to make sure it is appearing correctly on your computers.

The address is www.dolldeluxe.com

Thanks for all your help!

Zoe

Everything looks great now, in Firefox and IE. Resizes correctly.

BTW, I kinda like the site design. Even if it's pretty plain and bland, it has a feeling to it, especially with the bird on the homepage ;)

Hi Snib,

Thanks! That's exactly the thing I'm after....simple (easy to do!) but emotive. Cheers.:)
