UPLOAD HELP! HELP! HELP!

Hi,

I am using dreamweaver and when I attempt to upload some html and jpg files I get this error mesage:

"the file may not exist or there could be a permission problem"

I've checked the permissions under file >> get info and everything seems to OK.

I've even renamed, resaved, etc... and still on these particular files I get that error message above.

Any suggestions??

Hi there,

What is "uploading" in your case? Uploading from a web page to a web server, or from within Dreamweaver to a remote host?

If you're talking about a remote host, how does your setup look like? Are you using FTP, the local network or another transport mechanism?

Are you able to upload to your site with a normal FTP program? Are you sure your username and password work?

And did you set the right Remote Folder on the Remote tab of the Site Definition dialog?

some files upload just fine, others don't, that is whats so crazy about us

Yes, that is indeed crazy.

Do you have the necessary permissions to read from the files? And the permissions to write to / overwrite the files at the remote server?

That's the only thing I can think off.....
