Default Connection to Database using Dreamweaver MX

Hello this is Zaeem, I am new user of Macromedia DreamWeaver MX, I am developing Address Book sort of thing using ASP, Now in DreamWeaver MX in application panel the very first pane “Database”, How can I make connection to databases by “Custom Connection String”. The working connection tring is given below.

DSNName = "DRIVER=Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb);DBQ="
DSNName = DSNName & Server.MapPath("database/AddressBook.mdb")

Any help would be appreciated

Hi there,

There are many different ways to connect to an Access database, including DSN and DSN-less connections. Probably the best is to use an OleDb connection for MS Jet:

The first (For standard security) is probably the one you need....
