Happy New Year everyone....

I am having this problem. I drew a table using the 'Layout' menu( if i can call it that). I selected the layout option out of the three options given to me; Standard, Expanded, Layout. I drew a big table into which i drew small layout cells. Now here comes my problem..

I inserted an image into one of the cells. I noticed that it didn't fit into the cell perfectly, the image was a little smaller. So I selected the image and went to 'Properties' and set the width to 100%, hoping that the image will expand to fill the space. Alas!!!! the image became smaller!!! I really do not know how to overcome this problem...I hope there would be some kind soul out there willing to help me out in this..Thank you so much.
