Default making an mysql connection

Hello,

I'm working on making an mysql connection using dreamweaver MX 2004. I've got an php account at a hosting service. and i've alreaddy made the datbase with the control-panel of my host. Now I need to create the connection but I'm running into some problems. I've added the following data to the mysql connection window.

connection name: conn_db
MySQLserver: localhost
username: "username"
password: "password"
database: "databasename" which can't be selected though the window

When I push the test button the following appears: Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.

I've asked my hosting provider but they say it schould work and they can't help me with dreamweaver.

So it doesn't work I also don't know wether I need to use the make a new site of new FTP & RDS server panel.

Can someone please help me I don't know what to do.

Thanks,
Zoe-Alyssa
