Default Problem with Pop-up Menus

Hi all,
I am developing a webpage using Dreamweaver Ultra dev 4 and Fireworks 4.

Old i know but.......

I have created a flash popup menu in fireworks and inserted the html into dreamweaver, no problems.

I need to set behaviours to the items in the menu to show and hide layers. All the tutorials show you how to do this for the first level of the menu, and i can follow that fine, but I cannot find a way to assign behaviours to the lower level menu items, that occur when you hover over the first level.

if that didn't make sense an eg is
the top level of the menu says 'finance' when you hover over finance you get a pop up menu menu items 'pay details' and 'leave details'
it is those second levels i cannot manipulate.

If anyone is able to give me some pointers it wold be greatly appreciated.

Josh
