Linking Problem
Hi Everyone...
I created a page in fireworks, complete with pop menus. I name this page index.htm . This page is exported to dreamweaver and I open it up and pres F12. The page loads in the browser and everything is fine.
I mentioned earlier that the page has pop up menus. When I was creating the link in fireworks I had already given the file names under the 'links' section of the 'Pop-up menu editor'. So now that I am going to do further work in dreamweaver I wanted to create one of the files that I named earlier in fireworks. One such file is the 'about_us.htm'. This is where the problem starts. In dreamweaver if I were to create a new file called 'about_us.htm' and link it with the index.htm page, the link dosent seem to work. However when I 'save as' the index.htm page and name it as about_us.htm and than link them...it works! I am perplexed by this, since the file name is the same and I linked them both the same way. I am begining to suspect that the problem could be somewhere in the javascript that was autogenerated by Fireworks. I am not saying Fireworks is at fault, but perhaps there is something at work here that is beyond my comprehension. It will be great if someone could shed some light on this.
