Default help with jpeg and .gif files on dreamweaver

I was hoping that someone out there could help me as I have been teaching myself how to use dreamweaver mx for my work site which i have been made webmaster off.

Basically I am resizing pics and logos where necessary in photoshop and saving these into my dreamweaver file but when i go to transfer them on to the page it tells me i am deined access and to go to windows explorer and properties to correct this.. Can someone please tell me what I should change this to when i get here as i have tried a few options and nothing seems to help.
