using 2 dimensional array

please i have been trying to write a program on the multiplication table(12*12) using the 2 dimensional array,but when i wrote it,the result is usually in the vertical format, but no rows,i know that in the book when u vary the 1st index and make the second fixed, u create a column, and the other way a row, i dont know how to implement this.
please can u assist me.
