Default overwriting file

hi people,

i know this is the excel forum, but there isnt a forum for MS Project, and I am exporting to excel so perhaps that falls into the ok category?? ;)

i am using the mapedit method in Project to export to excel. Each time I export, I want to overwrite the file that has been created.

Does anyone know how I can overwrite the file automatically? There is no built in option for it in the save as bit.

i am thinking sendkeys might do the trick, but have to check first to see if the file exists... not sure how to do that either.

any ideas would be really helpful.

thanks

patrick
