it happends now and again that you are closing a spreadsheet
and get a glimps of an VB error.
and you cant open the file anymore "so what 2 do?".
If you are in the same position spending hours of work and forgot
to save the file.
So here is a solution that works for me.

I was buzy with a job and saved the file with a VB error in the code.
I tried again and again to reopen it but it just hung all the time.
I used My legal copy Office Xp.
Then i remembered i had a copy of Office 7.0 lying about.
I instaled it in my second copy of Xp end retried to open it
in version 7.0 (test version Beta 1).
And Yes it opend it wthout a error(Huray)
fixet the error and saved it.
I could open it now.

Just what the doctor ordered.....funny thing is I never had this problem before and then all the sudden it happened to me yesterday in one of those gigantoid files I've conjured up in the years. I remembered reading your post the day before and Bingo!
