Default Trouble hiding and unhiding columns in VBA

I have couple questions I would like answers to if possible and I would much appreciate someone's help.

Firstly, I have 1 column with data (Title names) and I would like to create similar to a hyperlinks for all these titles but when clicked they unhide the column next to them that has a description of each column. Then a link to be able to hide it again afterwards. If someone can show me how this can be done, that would be great.

The second issue I have is, I'm able to view my worksheet (in normal view NOT print preview) with a header along the top. So if I scroll down the the page the first number of rows stay static. This can be done via the header and footer option. There doesn't seen to be away to do the same thing for a footer. Can anyone tell me if this can be done and how?

Anyway if someone can show me how 1 or both of these task can be achieved I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jim
