Default COUNTIF Function can't reference other workbooks

Hi all,

Okay this has me really stumped. I am trying to put in a COUNTIF formula that will take a count on a different workbook that is already opened and put that value in the cell. But when I try to get the formula to run, it just errors out and can't run the function. It seems like the reference that I am setting is invalid. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this right now is pretty much a show stopper with the workbook that I am trying to build.

Thanks
Chris

Hi

Can you post the function?
COUNTIF works great when another workbook is open.
