Converting Excel to CSV format

i am new to VBA
I need to convert excel data to csv format & save it on server location
can someone help me with this

You haven't explained why you need VBA to do this.

In Excel 2003, I just go to the file menu and choose CSV format. I can save the file to any folder, network or local.

Not sure why the person would need to explain to you why they need to do this JP.

Anyway, try recording a macro, then altering that code to your needs.

I have to do this on click of a button as this has to be done a number of times.
So can any1 help with the macro as i'm having no clue about it

Do you know how to record a macro? If you have Office 2010, you'll need to make the "Developer" ribbon visible. Go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon, then check the "Developer tab" On the Developer tab you'll see "Record macro." Click it, name your macro, then do what you have to do. When you're done, click "Stop recording." Then on the developer tab you'll see "Insert," click that and insert a Command button, assign the macro you just recorded to it. That should get you started, you may have file naming issues to deal with

Nobody needs to explain anything to me.

When most people ask for help and specifically want to use VBA, they usually mention that it's not for a one-time process. All I'm asking for is confirmation of that.
