How would I let the user enter the time that automatically adds the colon but won't allow them to exceed 4 numbers. If they try, the computer will beep as long as they keep trying to enter a fifth number. Thanks to all in advance.

Though not straightforward, you can try combining the Cell Format - Time and Data Validation in Excel to see if it helps
