Hi All,

Im new to excel and i would appreciate a small bit of help with this formula

im trying to count up two range to see if theres the value that i want in each range and if so and if its true then the answer is one or two etc...


=COUNTIFS('Vehicle Details'!C1:'Vehicle Details'!B1000,"PSV",'RELEASE INFORMATION'!C6:'RELEASE INFORMATION'!C1000,“OUT”)

i seem to be getting the answer unrecognized text

Hi duggie66,

it's the different amount of rows and columns in the 2 Criteria Ranges that causes the error message.

Have a look at the Help page for this function. It says:

"Important Each additional range must have the same number of rows and columns as the criteria_range1 argument"
