Default How to save a macro enabled template in excel 2010

Every time I make changes to the code in my macro enabled template and try to save it, it pulls up "save as" and adds a one by default to the name of my workbook. All I really want is for excel to overwrite the previous code with the updated code and NOT rename the template. I found this post http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-q...-template.html thought it would help, but it did not. What am I doing wrong?
