Cool If funtion or Conditional

So my head hurts from this one...

I am trying to do a couple of things to match certain criteria. I want table 1 to be able to turn a row red if a.) the name matches and then b.) the date ranges mix.

Lets say this is my data...

Table 1:

A B C
1 John Doe 12/12/2013 12/12/2014
2. Jane Doe 11/12/2013 11/12/2014

------------------------------------------------------------------

Table 2:

A B C
1 John Doe 1/18/2014 2/18/2014
2 Jane Doe 11/13/2014 11/14/2014

----------------------------------------------------------------

Now because John Doe's date ranges mix I want that row to turn red.

Try the conditional formatting feature in Excel. It should solve your problem (and headache :))
