Default Convert Flash Movies To Screensavers If Possible

Hi,

Is it at all possible to convert a Flash movie to a screensaver? The way I see it is if someone doesn't have the Flash plug-in installed on their system, they can still view the Flash content cuz it's a screensaver.

I don't think you can do this. However on my Windows machine I can specify a picture for a screen saver (my point being this picture can be an Animated GIF), but I don't know about any other OS.

Are you just wanting somebody to be able to play a flash movie even if they don't have the plug in? Couldn't you just publish your file as a windows and macintosh projector file?

Yeah,

I guess that would work out.` I was hoping my Flash movie could be used as a screensaver, though.

You can use the Creamshavers service at http://www.creamshavers.com

It is pretty easy, if you have a mac, just download Iscreensaver (works on windos too) and go into your flash movie and click export as quicktime movie. Then make a new screensaver in Iscreensaver and use the flash movie... it will repeat, so try to have the ending frame where the beggining one is.

I think the issue is what will winderz support for screen savers. I believe this is a static file (jpeg, bmp, etc). or gif, no flash, no executables that play a flash, etc. You would likely have to convert your swf to gif to do it.
