Default Synchronising a sound track

Hi there,

I am writing a Flash application in which I play a digitised song file (.wav)

On screen, I need to show the lyrics line by line, in perfect sync with the audio.

It is vital that the synchronisation works across all speeds of machines that the application runs on. I do not want to leave anything to chance.

Please advise me how to do this. Is there a way to lay down a sync track in parallel and get Flash to recognise cue points on the sync track? Or would it be better to use Director (which I believe CAN do this, but correct me if I am wrong).

Thanks.

James

Hi,

I have never done anything concerning this so I can't really help. However, there is one place you could maybe find more help. I have listed it in the Flash FAQ in this forum but you may have missed it.

Anyways, go to http://www.flashkit.com You have to register in order to use their forums but it doesn't cost you anything to join up with them. I myself am a Flash Kit member (my member name is FlashKid105) and I've found those forums to be a lot of help when I had trouble with something or I just needed an answer.
