Default on (release) statement problem

Hi all,

I am happy to say that I am nearing completion of my first Flash website. However, I am having a problem with a statement that I am using. I am using instance names for all of my buttons (Ex: About). Now, when I try to use About.on (release) }, I get an Output error saying that a field name was expected after the period. What can I do to correct this problem? If need be, I will provide the FLA file.

Thanks,

Mike,

I figured it out myself.:) What I did was I did not use any instance names for ANY of the buttons. For the on (release) { statement, I just used this.gotoAndPlay(55) for one of the buttons.

Thanks for trying to help,
