Default Projector keeps losing image quality

Hi,
I'm creating an animated piece with mainly images, that I
have imported as PNG-24 so that I can deal with transparency -alpha values.

I've completed the piece and have now saved it as an .exe
HOWEVER, every time I play it the images seem to lose quality ( in a big way)

Is there something I can do so that it doesn't keep losing their initial crispness (They are getting more and more pixelated)

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks
nancy

if you do a test movie do the images still loose their quality? are you scaling the images? what application are you using to initially save these images and what quality png-8 png-24? Also I am not sure if Flash converts png to jpg format, but in your publish settings under the flash tab there is a jpg quality the default is 80 you might check that.

Peace
Mike

Hi Mike,
Doing a test movie doesn't diminish the quality of those images. I did not scael these after importing into Flash.I have used Photoshop and have saved as PNG-24. Finally I have set my jpeg quality to 100%.

What can I do??

Thanks for your response.

Nancy,

First rule of thumb: NEVER re-size any image in Flash. If you want to do any re-sizing, you need to do it outside of Flash(Photoshop in this case).

Just a life lesson I thought I'd share with ya:D
