Default flash 8 - HTML/XML specifications

Dear Everyone,
I am working on an existing app someone made in Flash MX with Zinc for a kiosk type application, now it was recompiled with Flash 8 as we wanted to use PNG's. The app pulls text from different XML sheets with "CDATA" tags. They have HTML in the text inside. Flash 8 handles reading HTML differently, much. So now I can go through and just tweak the HTML and make everything look right, which I probably will do, however I am new to Flash and want to know if someone knows what are the exact specifications like "Flash 8 will read this in this way" as I'd rather have better handling as there is a lot of HTML in this APP and a lot of XML sheets.

Thanks for anyone's help in advance.

Baes
