Default converting movie files to flash format

How do I actually convert different video format (avi,mpeg,mp4, etc) file to a flash format and view it as flash? People would upload their video files on my server and my server will do the coversion automatically. When people preview the video files, they would see them in flash. I do not want to use any 3rd party software to do the conversion but to build one on my own.

Your help is kindly appreciated.

Regards

Eugene

What do you want to do exactly? why not just to convert video to flash using special software? for example, i do it with FlashConv (flashconv.com), it's easy to use and of a good quality enough.

Geovid actually provide a command line converter which could be used on a server side for converting video to flash. It s Video To Flash Console, or SDK version (http://www.geovid.com/Movie_to_Flash_SDK) that is something similar of what they did at www.vidflash.com with this software. If you dont need a GUI version of course...
