Default Playing flash video over internet.

I an play a flash video with action script on my desktop. But when I put the code on my web server I can't watch it over the web. Does anyone have any good sample of action script that creates a download bar and allows you to play it over the web when it's fully downloaded. Something is wrong with transmission or my web server times out before sending the whole file over the web. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert

Not sure if this would be your problem, but my server did not have the mime type set up correctly for flash flv files and the flv video files wouldn't play. Search the adobe.com for "flv mime type" and you will find the articles on how to set this up.

Thanks but to my knowledge I don't need a "server" part for playing flash. Perhaps I am not understanding you. When I run my code locally it works. When I put it on my web server I can't view the movies. I can view everything else I ever did in Flash on my desktop that I copied to the server. Only thing that executes different is the movies. Any thoughts? My server is linux/apache. I don't follow the answer related to the "google players". I want to use flash (client side) to view the movie. Is there something I have to send to the client browser to allow this?

Flash video not playing because of mime type? Would that explain how a client computer can retrieve it over the lan, but when the flv (video) is played over the internet it won't work?
