Default Problems with loadMovie

Hi. I'm new in flash . I'm usign Flash 8 Professional.

This code must load an image.

this.createEmptyMovieClip("movie1",this.getNextHig hestDepth );
movie1._width=50;
movie1._height=50;
movie1.loadMovie("image.jpg");

but the image does not appear.

Actionscript can be so twitchy sometimes. It looks like it should work. Try specifying a hardcoded depth like 5 and see if that works. That's just a stab in the dark though.
