Unable To Set Picture URL In Profile
OK,
I've tried doing this maybe 2 or 3 times in the past couple of days. It seems as if what I'm putting in the Picture URL is not being liked at all because every time I go to preview my changes, BOOM. Picture URL link is still broken . This is really starting to piss me off:(. Can somebody please tell me how to get the Picture URL link to where it actually shows an image in my profile?

Instead of getting pissed off, you could try to investigate the problem yourself and try to fix it.
Your picture URL is referring to this:
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...16225173Hwrdry
When I go there, it turns out it is a Web site, and not an individual picture. So, have the Picture URL link to a Picture (hence the name Picture URL) and not a Web site. Try this instead: http://community.webshots.com/s/imag...9fbaury_ph.jpg
although you may need to resize it a bit first.
Cheers,
Imar

I want to know why someone cares so much to even SEE the picture...THat said- webshots, I belive, doens't permit direct linking.. So it won't matter if the URL is right or wrong...

Can't you guys acquire the resources to enable us to upload our photos? I think it would be much easier so people like me do not have to go through the trouble of linking to our photos (I'm not saying I don't like the Picture URL feature). Otherwise, I'd have to wait on posting the Picture URL for one of my pics until my website that I am working on in Dreamweaver is fully operational and online

Oh come on. Stop wasting everyone's time with this useless picture thingy, please.
This isn't a dating service where it matters how someone looks. People come here for technical advice, and that's that. I couldn't care less whether you had green hair or yellow legs.
If people are interested in how you look, or how you look while morphed with a dog, give them the address of your home page, so they can go there and have a look if and when it pleases them.
Sheesh

It's actually one of my Terragen photos that I would like to have displayed in my profile, got it? (I'm not mad at you, Imar. I just wish people would understand that I am a pretty good artist and I have landscapes I want to show off).

I never said I thought you were mad at anyone. I just said that I think that most people here are not interested in any picture in any profile what so ever, even if you are "a good artist" who knows how to drag 'n drop his way through terragen....

Here's the simple answer- NO.
Wrox will not be spending money so you can upload a photo to show in your profile. It's not a mission critical or even important feature. You have the link to your photo site in your signature- if people want to see it, they will go.
I don't know why your so focused on this- but it's taking up too much of our time. This is how the system is implemented. It's not important enough or cost effective to change it. (IMHO)
