Default Moderation of Original posts: Feedback forums

Because such a high volume of the posts in the 2 feedback forums ("Wrox Announcements and Feedback" and "Wrox Book Feedback") is now "where do I get the code for..." we're moving these 2 forums only to moderated original posts. Replies will not be moderated. Our only intent in doing this is to eliminate the current flood of "where do I get the code for..." so that these forums can become more useful again for other questions. Other posts that don't have to do with "where do I get the code for..." will be approved ASAP by one of the many moderators. However, be prepared that there may now be a time lag for new posts in these 2 forums only, especially for posts on nights and weekends. We do have moderators in several distant timezones, but we don't have 24x7 coverage. We hope that moderation of these 2 forums is not a hindrance to using P2P.

This is a decision I've been pushing for a while. So, if anyone vehemently disagrees with it, please direct rants toward me, not the other moderators or admins.

I'll put this into affect later today, and just to reiterate, this does not affect any of the book or topic forums.

FYI, for the time being, we've decided against this. I've made an attempt to bring more attention to a new "please don't ask this question" plea in the forum descriptions in an effort to try to cut down on this through user education.
