Default How Long Before We're Considered Inactive?

Hi,

I don't think I understand this very well but I'll do the best I can.

Anyways, is there any length of time that has to pass before we are considered to be inactive? If we're inactive (not participating) for a long enough time, do our memberships get deleted?

OK,

Thanks for this. The reason I asked about it was because at the Dane County Humane Society(where I volunteer), we are considered "Active" as long as we put in 1 hour a month. I just thought that the same thing might apply to these forums

The only thing that can expire on the forums is your "remember me" login cookie. That cookie gets renewed each time you log in. I forget what the expiration is on the cookie. Basically, if you don't access p2p.wrox.com for, say, two weeks, then the site will not remember you and you'll have to log in w/ your username and password.

Otherwise, you're automatically logged in when you access the site.

Take care,

Nik

The cookie expires a year after your last login

Steven,

How do you know that the cookie expires in a year?

No, the autologin cookie expires after 30 days. It gets reset every time you return to the forums.

How do I know that? Because I programmed it that way. :D
