Default Symbols and Membership Types

What do the various membership types for posting authors mean? I have seen Starting Member, Junior Member, and New Member. I'm certain there are others.

What do the stars mean below someone's name in the Author column?

Thanks! I found it in the older messages.

This information should be included in the FAQ.

One more thing - are the numbers for each level accumulated on a per-forum or an all forums basis? I post and subscribe to several forums.

Can we get this added to the FAQ since it has come up several times?

Chris: Good suggestion. I've added this to the P2P FAQ. Thanks!

Chris:

Sorry, our FAQ links are a bit confusing at the moment. The FAQ you are referring to is a more generic Snitz FAQ. The FAQs specific to p2p.wrox.com are actually posted in this forum.

Look for the "sticky" post in this forum titled P2P FAQS or use:
http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=278

I'll try to come up with a plan to make the organization of the different FAQs a little clearer too.

Thanks. That makes it clearer. Maybe a reference to the P2P FAQ inside the snitz FAQ would be nice unless you can just include the P2P FAQ in the snitz FAQ maybe at the end of it with a separator that says that it is the P2P FAQ below it. These are just some thoughts. Maybe even have the pictures of the star next to the description in the FAQ. Another thought (I do not know if you can do this or not) maybe make the start and the "starting member, member, etc" a link that jumps right to that section in the FAQ. I know I checked to see if the starts were hyperlinked to a description of what they meant, so maybe others do too.

Thanks again...

Chris
