I'm not sure you've posted to the correct forum, as this one is meant to be for questions and feedback concerning this site.

On the other hand, I'm not sure which forum your question does belong in... ;)

In any case, I believe the msmask.ocx control is (only) shipped with Visual FoxPro.

I'm not sure there's any forum here that would cover such a question- since it's not a development question. However- I belive this is the Masked Edit control that would ship with Visual Studio 6.0.

I can't imagine why the computer is saying it's missing- If your a developer re-installing Visual Studio would fix it. If your not, you might want to reinstall the program that uses the .ocx.

Hal,

The Visual Studio version of the masked edit control is msmask32.ocx. Msmask.ocx only comes with Foxpro, I'm pretty sure.

Jeff,

based on this message from the archive..

http://p2p.wrox.com/archive/vbbegin_.../2001-11/3.asp

I thought it was something that shipped with VB 6.0.. However I am not sure :)

Hmm. I see your point.

But when I go to Visual Studio and add the Masked Edit control to a project, it refers to msmask32.ocx.

When I searched MSDN for msmask.ocx, the only hits I got were referring to Foxpro, which was the basis for my original response. But, when I just now dug a little deeper into the results I discovered my search only turned up references to msmask32.ocx.

I checked all of the MS knowledge base and there is no reference at all to msmask.ocx - so now I'm not sure the OP had the filename right.
