Updated: Spam "report abuse"
The new forums use an "infraction" points system for reporting spam. (The "report abuse" icon link has been removed.) If you have the rights to assign an infraction, click the red/yellow card icon, select "Spammed and/or Porn Advertisements" as the type, type "spam" in the "ban reason", and click Give Infraction. This will trigger the right process to ban the account and notify the admins.
Additionally PLEASE DON'T reply to spammers in their posts.
I appreciate everyone's patience as we try to find the best way to deal with the current spate of spammers. The best thing you can do in the short term to help is: - DON'T reply to any spam posting in the forums

We're discussing some more sophisticated solutions but for now, the best thing if for all of the loyal forum users to be my eyes on this.</s> Thanks.
