I think it's just slow. I got your reply right away, and an hour later or so I got some from this morning.

Default Mail server broken? (peace95 5/19)

All,
the mail server may not be broken, but it is not performing an important functionality which is: Not mailing or posting the responses to the individual that made the response. (This is almost like ... "Who's On First?...What's On Second" ) Just as I am responding to this thread, I will not see my response, until someone else responds to this thread. There was a time when one would see everything posted to a particular thread, regardless of the "respondee".

As a test to better illustrate..... on the server watch this response. I have added my logon and date in title. If what I am saying is true, everyone will receive a copy except me. So this particular response should remain on the mail server.

Send a message via MSN to gbianchi

It never did such thing as sending you your own response (or new thread).

gbianchi:
I beg to differ. The mail server did send me responses as I stated earlier, in fact here is an example as of 2/1/07 4AM:

Peace95: Wow, that example foes way back, 2007. Good memory! It looks like getting emails of your own posts was probably an option in the old system, but not the default. Honestly, I never saw that option.
Which leads to why it no longer exists: as much as we love the new system based on vbulletin vs old snitz, there are a handful of old snitz features (or features we created ourselves) that we missed in the snitz vs vbulletin comparison and they didn't get recreated. Sorry if this was something important to you. My fault.

Jim:
Thank you for the explanation. I move certain p2p forum responses to different peronal mail folders, so I can get to them quickly. However, I don't recall specifying a special option after joining a particular forum. I guess another snitz feature is the list of messages to which one responded and resided in ones profile...yes? Well who knew? I should have voted.....

Thanks again.

I haven't been getting email subscriptions since the new forum went live. I have recently been back on, tried changing all my subscription options and still aren't getting any email notifications, either the subscribed forums, or threads I have replied to.

Any ideas Jim?
