Hi,

Is there any way that you guys could redirect certain messages to the appropriate forums? I'm specifically talking about redirecting non-feedback posts from the Feedback forum.

Ben:

Without going to active moderation (prescreening each message before it is posted) we don't know of any way to prevent off-topic posts from going out to the list first. Because active moderation would add a lot of time from when a message is written to when the groups see it, we decided early on not to go that route.

Normally, between the moderators and editors, we get the posts moved to the new forums rather quickly, although that doesn't help with the fact that the forum has already gone out to the group before we move it. This past week or two we've been a little slow getting messages moved due to holiday and vacation time off, so I'm cleaning it up now.

I'm open to other suggestions from the group on how to moderate this group better.
