OK,

This is really bugging me. I went in to update my profile and I noticed the "Picture URL" field somewhere on the page. I do not have a photo of myself anywhere on the web. So, that means I can't use any pictures. Is there any chance that you guys could maybe change the "Picture URL" field so that we can upload our photos from a local setting? Would there be any problems with that?

Go there. I have a lot of awesome photos that I rendered myself

Ben:

I'm sorry but in order for you to upload your pictures from local source we would have to store the photos on our servers here and we do not have teh storage capacity to make this workable.

If you need a website to host you photos, I would recommend http://www.PBASE.com as it is free and easy to get setup.

Uh... I just noticed that you have a link to a photo album... why not upload a picture to your photo album and link to that?

Also, as a college student, are you given a home directory with some minimal amount of space available for email, file storage, and/or web pages?

Take care,

Nik

That's actually a link to my Webshots Community Page which, I'm happy to say, has seen a lot of hits for certain photo albums I created. So far, I have 3 guestbook entries and 2 photo downloads(I think)

So yeah. I could upload another photo to the page but I'd have to create another photo album

James,

Thanks for referring me to PBase. I just checked it out earlier but the truth is that I'm not really interested in opening an account with PBase. I already have a Webshots account which is good enough. Webshots is extremely flexible with free accounts that are set up (meaning my photos are shown in the Webshots Community even though I'm a free member).
