Default Validating users

I created a login page by creating two textboxes (txtUsername) (txtPassword) and a command button (cmdLogin).

I want to validate that the username and password that the user types in the two textboxes are valid by running a query on the back end SQL 2000 database which contains this information.

I already have a stored procedure which contains the usernames and passwords (sp_Login).

How would I go about writining the code to validate this.

Thanks in advance
Ryan

You need to have button that calls the stored procedure via a database connection.

There's a lot to that answer, but before I go into all that, please tell us what parts of it you don't understand or aren't sure how to do.
