Default Customizing MSI Setup screens

Hi Friends,

I have to deploy an Word 2003 application(in .NET) for which I need to create a MSI Setup which on execution will inform the user about the location of the Install and then on clicking the "Next" button, the Installation should complete...Basically, I have to create a simple, easy to use MSI Setup. Now, my problem is that MSI Setup on execution displays various screens and also gives the user the option to change the Installation folder...I have to do away with the various screens and also in my case, the Installation location is fixed...that is user can't change the path...they will simply click the "Next" button and Installation will start. This means I have to customize the MSI Setup file...How can I do so...I tried the Shared Add-in provided under "Other Pojects| Extensibile Projects" in New Project dialog box, but I still can't customize the screens. The Add-in only allows to change the property values for Screens(like Welcome, Installation folder, etc) but doesn't allow for screen customization...Any help will be appreciated.

TIA.
Debsoft

Hi Friends,

I partly found the solution to my problem...I found a way to perform checks during Installation but I still haven't found any way of controlling the Installation screens or putting my own screens in place of Installation screens. Actually I had to check whether Word 2003 existed on Target machine during Installation and if not then Abort Installation...I perform that check by inserting a Registry Search condition in the Launch Condition Editor in MSI Setup...It worked fine...

If anybody has any idea of how to control the Installation screens or replce them by their own custom screens then do let me know...

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Debsoft
