OK! So I fixed the dropdown list problem by adding an onselectedindexchanged that ran a sub that did the getclientdata sub. Then, and this is what I'm not happy about, I fixed the cancel button by deleting the code and rewriting it exactly as before. This bothers me. I've experienced it before where just by deleteing and rewriting the exact same stuff this mysteriously work. I'm not into computers for mystery. I go outside for that!
Anyway, I'm over it. Thanks to everyone who has helped esp. Mehdi
