Default About ASP.NET

I have a strange problem with ASP.NET i.e. when I open VS.NET 2003 with .NET Framework 1.1 it is showing up an error saying that there is 1.0 ASP.NET version.
Then I shared my friends web directory in his system and copied all my files there and now it is working from there, now I am confused that whether it is taking the .NET framework from my system or from my friends system. Please let me know if you have answers for this.
But for sure it is using my VS.NET 2003 editor and other files what about .NET framework, ADO.NET and ASP.NET?

Can anyone tell me what are the required files for ASP.NET?

Thanks and Regards
Pradeep

You need the .NET framework for ASP.NET
You need .NET v1.1 for VS.NET 2003
You need .NET v1.0 for VS.NET 2003

You CAN have both on your machine at the same time.

There is no way that .NET running on your machine can be using a framework on another's machine.

Hi Thanks for your reply,

I have this doubt because before I do the sharing of friends system, my project which ran locally gave me errors while connecting to Oracle DB saying "Oracle client components are not found", I did lot of suggestions as given by microsoft, but It didn't work. Then when I share my friends webshare and access it from there the connection is also working properly.

Can you explain me how this can happen?

Thanks,
Regards
Pradeep

From your first message, it seems that your system can't detect .net ver 1.1. I think you can try this url and get the idea.
