Default Handle Email UPdates

I have to update an existing email by querying it from the database.
If one does not exist I have to add anew email if I add a new email I also have to update another table.

Any suggestions how to do this?

SHould I use a data list or data grid? Would I still be able to add to another table if I have to add a new email? Can I bind data base fields to text boxes and perform updates and adds?

Thanks

Sanjeet
