Default Document viewer

Hi,

Could anybody help me out how to display documents created in ms word, excel, power point, adobe acrobate (pdf), ms paint (images) etc., in a windows .NET application. Is there a single .NET control available for this purpose or i have to make use of API calles (P/Invoke)? Please suggest. Example or a link will be appreciated. Thanks

you can use,

System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("d:\\picture.bmp" );

for example it opens PaintBrush and display the bitmap file but I know you wanted something else.

Well Mehdi i haven't checked it out but i guess it will only run the corresponding application and then run the file in it whereas i need to open it right in my own application.

Well, there's a WebBrowser control in .NET framework. This is in fact a full-featured web browser and
therefore it can open all of the files i mentioned above plus many more others. Just use its
Navigate() method and you are home... This could be helpful for anybody confronting such problem.

thanx
