Default Checking for controls existence .NET 2.0

I have multiple ASPXs referring to the same code behind using partial classes in .NET 2.0. I am still quite new to .NET 2.0 so can some pls tell me what is the best way to handle the scenario where all ASPXs do not have all the controls?
