Default dateTimePicker

Can any one help a poor 1st yr student ICT teacher???
how can I say this in VB.Net?....
dateTimePicker.value=dateTimePicker.value+7days?

basically I need to allocate the chosen date from the dtp to 7 days time.
PLEASE HELP!!!!x
