Default Running exe file without visual studio

:)Running exe file without visual studio

I want to run a vb.net exe file on a friends computer that has XP but does not have visual studio.
Do I need to make a release version? I get JIT debugger error.

You do not need to make a release version, although it does perform a bit better. Debug versions are compiled with optimizations for the debugger not for performance. You DO need the .NET framework but not Visual Studio.

What is the JIT error you are getting?
