VS.NET 2003 Installation AKA @#$!&*
I'm having problems with the installation of VS.NET 2003
At around 60% of the first CD it sits on Generating Setup Script. I found a post on a site that suggested ending more than one instance of msiexec (with the lowest memory allocated). I did as the post on the site had suggested however I had to do it a couple of times and at the end of the second CD it again sat on another process at the end of the progress bar. I cannot quite remember the process. Again I attemped what was done on the first CD. Anyhow after attempting this several times, I finally killed the installation and found that VS.net was installed. However when I tried to run it, it sat on the splash screen. Then it would only come up when I actually stop the msiexec process. But that is a problem waiting to happen.
I have seen several things like downloading the latest security patches and service packs (I have them all). As well as clearing out your system temp folder. The only thing that I have not done was waiting for the celestial alignment of all the great planets in the solar system why offering a sacrifice to the Microsoft Gods.
Your help is graciously appreciated.
